Individual registration

Online registration facilities are now closed. If you’d like to attend the Congress, you will be able to register and pay directly onsite at the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre, in the registration area of Hall 6.

The registration opening hours in the Shenzhen Convention & Exhibition Centre are the following:

Integrity of group registration data
It has come to our attention that in previous congresses, signed up delegates have not been receiving electronic or postal updates because the contact information provided was wrong or incomplete. Considering the above, only registrations submitted with valid contact information for each attendee will be processed. If the valid contact information is submitted at a latest stage, the fee corresponding to the period when UICC receives this information will apply.

1 Early and regular rate deadlines refer to the date the payment is received; if a payment is not received before the indicated deadline, the registration fee of the time of receipt will apply.
2 UICC Members: Rate applicable to two official representatives of each UICC member organization and, upon justification, to nurses, patient advocates and medical/nursing students. Please note the justification must be send by email to

No VAT will be applied.

Children under 16 cannot be admitted, for children over 16 the standard rate applies.

Travel grant

UICC recognizes the importance of providing assistance to potential Congress participants from low- and middle-income countries. If you need the support of a travel grant to come to the Congress, please find more information here.

Full participant registration

The full participant registration fee includes:
- Admission to the official Congress Scientific Sessions
- Badge and documentation, including Final Programme and Abstract CD- ROM
- Access to the Exhibition and Poster sessions during opening times
- Complimentary access to the networking opportunities
- Automatic access to the Global Cancer Community

Accompanying person registration

The accompanying person registration fee includes the access to the Opening and Closing Ceremonies, the welcome reception and a full day city tour. Thank you for visiting the related Pacific World desk in the Registration area located in Hall 6 in order to schedule your City Tour.

Payment

Registration fees paid in advance (except for on site registration) and made out to UICC 2010. Should you choose payment by bank transfer, please do not forget to indicate the payment reference as well as the delegate for which the payment is made and the full address on the payment.

Debit cards and all other credit cards not accepted.

Payment by credit card only will be available on site for final settlements if needed. Bank charges are the responsibility of the person making the payment.
Cash payment in Euro and Yuan (RMB) will be accepted on site.

Payment for group registrations should be made by bank transfer (bank transfer are exceptionally accepted for individual registration if you experience a technical problem).

Cancellation

Any cancellation or changes of your registration must be notified in writing and will be subject to the following conditions:

Until 01 July: refund of fee minus a 25% administrative charge
After 01 July 2010: no refund (including cancellation of the networking activities)
Name changes will be charged 35 Euro
No-shows at the congress will be charged the full fee.
Requests for reimbursements must be sent in writing. If applicable, refunds will be processed after the congress.

Badges

Badges will be collected at the congress centre upon the condition that the registration has been paid in full.
Badges must be worn at all time during the Congress, including the networking activities.

Media accreditation

Media accreditation criteria

To qualify for registration as a journalist, individuals must meet at least one of the following criteria:

• Journalists employed by a recognized news organization must show media identification (such as an international, accredited press pass) and a business card.
• Freelance journalists must submit copies of three bylined oncology-related articles in addition to an official letter of assignment from an accredited news organization.
• Newsletter media must submit three issues of a newsletter, relevant to the content of the meeting, published within the past 18 months and containing at least one bylined article about oncology.
• Online media must have appropriate media credentials (i.e., a letter of assignment and/or a business card from a recognized news organization) and be able to show:
• Original, editorial news coverage
• Editorial freedom from advertisers and/or sponsors

Please note registration will be limited to three journalists from each media outlet.

Applicants for media accreditation must first complete the online registration form and will then be requested to send their supporting documents (credentials, business card, freelance materials) to the UICC press office.

Company press conferences

All Congress media activities will be strictly monitored by UICC.
Companies wishing to organize a press conference during the Congress must send a written request to the UICC communications team at the above email address. There is a press conference room to rent for such purposes.

Company press conferences cannot be held during times that clash with official press conferences. Organizations planning off-site media activities must coordinate with the UICC communications staff who will ensure that they do not conflict with those of the Congress. Current or past media registration lists will not be released to third parties. For further information on media activities during the Congress, please download the Congress media guidelines.

Invitation letter for visa application

All foreign visitors entering China must have a valid passport and a visa. Upon confirmation of the registration and the registration payment, the Chinese Medical Association will send an invitation letter for visa to the registered participant. Please note that the Chinese Medical Association will provide the pre-registered and paid delegates with a standard letter.

Attention: Multiple entry visas are needed if you book one day excursion tour to Hong-Kong, in order to enable you to enter back in China.
